Vendor Management Inventory
We have been intensively working with inventory optimization systems for some years now. We have concentrated especially on Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Vendor Owned Inventory (VOI) and have implemented these systems successfully.
VMI monitors inventory and tank inventory and manages our deliveries and purchases with regard to demand and production planning.
The difference between VMI and VOI is the additional installation of a consignment store for VOI.
One topic of our work is the transportation of heatable products. We were substantially involved in the optimization of loading volumes for tank trucks transporting liquid Phthalic anhydride.
Many products have different logistical requirements. We know these requirements. Together with our daughter company CTL [www.ctl-logistik.de] we develop new concepts for optimizing logistical processes.
